Although tiny Chia seeds are becoming more and more popular and carry the flattering title of real super food. They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and have six times more calcium than milk and fifteen times more magnesium than broccoli.
You can use them for breakfast with cereals and fruits, sprinkle them on a variety of savory and sweet dishes (soups, sandwiches, salads, various dishes with vegetables, desserts…), add to the dough for bread, cakes and biscuits. Thus, there are almost no restrictions in the use of chia seeds.
Before use, it is recommended to soak the seeds in water or some other liquid for at least 10 minutes, when cooking the seeds always add at the end because they lose some of their nutrients by heat treatment.
Gluten-free flour is also made from these seeds, which you can use alone or in combination with other types of flour.
